Hello PottEr Forum Board! Glad to find you. I am Geneva Francis Coleman. I hail from the Pike County Kentucky area and after many years I find myself living in Pike County again! My ancestors include (hold on...there's a lot of them): Francis, Hurley, Allen, (Dad's Side) and many more of course...and Smith, Coleman, Daugherty, May, Lockhart, Lee, Fuller, and many more on my mom's side. My husband's family are Coleman's through the Abraham Coleman and Rebecca Isaac Line. We come from the Russell, Wise, Tazelle counties of Virginia as well as Pike County Kentucky. Originially I believe that we were from Donegal Ireland, Dusemond Germany, Zurich Switzerland and the like. There must be a HEALTHY dose of native American in there as well because if you had ever seen my dad there could be little doubt. Dark brown skin, high cheekbones, blue black hair straight as an arrow. He always told me that his "people" had native blood but I have no exact record of this. We are all so crisscrossed up that I am having a difficult time unraveling the ball of twin that is my ancestoral tree. Any help would be appreciated and if you can't help, perhaps you can encourage! : )

Hello. I have done DNA testing on My dad, Darrell E Potter and he is definitely NA. His haplogroup/type is R-M269/R-M207. FTDNA kit#194850. I have not added a GedCom yet but will do so as soon as his family finder ( more recent as opposed to ancient ancestry) is complete. Stay tuned... Lineage Patriarch: Abraham Potter b. 1745 NC Rowan County d. 1834-37 Kentucky
