:)Frank Tackett was my paternal grandfather (my father was his son Charles Lavaughn/Lavon is the name he went by). Grandpa Willard and Granny Una are buried on his cemetary. My paternal grandmother was Lula Hall Tackett d/o Willard and Una Brown Hall. I have many photographs of them and remember each very well. I have a video of Grandpa Willard walking through his daughter Stella's house back in the late 50's prior to his death. Willard and Una had several other children other than Great Uncle Johnny you mentioned, including my grandmother Lula. Greath Aunt Stella is the only one living in that family. Granny was named after her g-grandmother Unasiah Branham Smith Hall. Granny was the daughter of Jasper Brown and Rosannah Howard, grandaughter of Lewis and Lydia Hall Elliott Brown (Lydia was the daughter of Masias and Unaiah Branham Smith Hall). Grandpa Willard was only married once to Granny Una until they both died at Christmas time in the early 60's a year apart. I remember my dad going out in the middle of the night two Christmases in a row to go to his Aunt Stella's (where they lived) because of their deaths. Jasper Brown was the one associated with Kate Turner and others. I would love to correspond with you and compare information. I live very close to the cemetary. Have you ever been there?

Hi Annette, I met you at the Hall reunion a few years ago and used to call you on the phone. I have been taking care of my dad for 3 years. He died January 28, 2009 of Alzheimers. I have had you on my mind for weeks and had lost your information. I am thrilled to have found you again! My email is donnasue.johnson@yahoo.com Please contact me. I descend from several Hall lineages. On my mother's side: Nimrod and Mary Hall; Anthony and Ruth Butler Hall. On my dad's side: Masias (Cias/Cyrus/Sias) and Unasiah Branham Smith Hall; Richard and Sarah Sally Tackett Hall. My maternal grandmother was Nannie Belle Fouts Hall who descended from George W. and Lucinda Phillips Fouts. Please contact me at my email address. I have missed being in contact with you. Donna Sue

Hello Anette
I've admired your site for sometime. I am pulling my hair out over the parentage of my 3rd Great grandmother Mahala Polly Morgan and I a wondering if you or some of your visitor may know her story
Here is the line between me and the elusive Mahala
1) Brenda Mitchell Hall born 1951-- daughter of Daniel Gene Mitchell born 1927 and Marry Katherine Modesiit born 1929
2) Daniel Gene Mitchell's mother was Ida Belle Moore born 1894 in West Virginia. Daniel Thomas Mitchell born in 1897 and married to Ida Bell Moore.
3)Hammond R. Moore born 1843 was Ida bell"s father and he was married to Nancy Ellen Meadows born in 1860
4)Nancy Ellen Meadow's mother was ELizabeth Mullens born 1838 and her father was Elijah Meadows born 1833.
5)Elizabeth Mullens father was Sanders Mullens born 18111 in Kentucky. Her mother was Mahala Polly Morgan born 1818 in Kentucky.
I cannot seem to find any relatives for Mahala Polly Morgan so I'm going to ask others to see if they have anything that might help in their family trees.
Thank you
Brenda

Hello, I am looking to gain any information regarding the murder of Daniel Hall. Who did it? Were they caught? Was there a trial? Was it a raid on his land? Any information would be great. Michelle Morrisville, NC

Hi First I love what you said about being good people and sharing My kind of person After all we are in this life together God Bless you. I’m doing this for my granddaughter age 2and 4 for future putting it all in a book I hope soon some day and Maybe even able to completely trace a Rev War Patriot for a DAR connection. I know it will be useful when they are all grown. I am sourcing all information. I don’t take it from any one if not sourced or documented and I can see it. Better to be safe…than wrong. I am sure so much is on other sites is mixed up or incorrect here and there… But still It is so much fun to find good information
I do not know if your Walkers are my Walkers ( you have so much to look at) but boy I sure wish we are related The work you have put in is absolutely amazing…. I mean amazing.
I am trying so hard to find the John Walker connection to his 10 + children I have children listed but can’t connect He was from Lincoln (Lincolnton) NC went to Perry County and Cape Girardeau County MO Had 10 to 12 kids One was my GGG_Grandfather Osbirn (Osborn) William Henry Walker…. often referred to as OWH Walker . I have documented everything before him and all sides, then it has become difficult.
Do you have anything on MO Walkers? I have listed names and dates below The connection is from Missouri They came from NC early 1800’s. There is a Walker Bible that went to around San Antonio Tx in 1900’s with Albert martin Really looking for owner of that….
Also trying Osbirn’s on his wife’s side Christiana Hinkle Walker and or her Mother Christian Jane White Hinkle (Henkle)
Thank you in advance Patty Derrick Delaware shells@delaware.net 302-542-0537
